Edgewater Gold Radio - Filling The Oldies Gap

Many radio stations around the country and even around the world are no longer playing real oldies. By real oldies I mean music from the 50s 60s 70s 80s and even some 90s. First oldies stations started dropping 50s, then early sixties now oldies have "morphed" into what is now considered classic hits. Very few 60s and much less of the 70s. 80's is the main decade for this format. All of the great music we baby boomers grew up with seems to be falling by the wayside.

I understand that as boomers get older and time passes, newer more current music is preferred by today's generations. The roots of Rock n Roll began in the 50s and carries through til today.

Edgewater Gold Radio keeps all of those songs alive. We're still playing the 50s and will continue to do so as well as the 60s, 70s 80s and we're very carefully and slowly adding some early 90s. There will be a point where the music has changed so much, that it would no longer be appropriate to add it to our programming.

So if your station has recently switched to classic hits, you will feel the hit if you're a true oldies lover. That format is extremely limited and eliminates many core artists and songs that formed the foundation for the music we hear today.

Edgewater Gold Radio is picking up all the slack and still playing all of that great music from the 50s 60s 70s and 80s. We also do it in the style that you remember. 17 years on the air and still cranking out REAL oldies!
