The Beatles Announce Companion Book To Peter Jackson Documentary

Here's the story from RTT Entertainment news.

The Beatles have announced a coffee-table book to accompany the release of a forthcoming feature documentary helmed by Lord of The Rings director Peter Jackson.

Titled "Get Back," the 240-page hardcover book will feature hundreds of previously unpublished images, as well as snippets of transcribed conversations between the bandmembers, curated from more than 120 recorded hours of the studio sessions of the Let It Be album.

"This definitive volume will present an exclusive, in-their-own-words account of The Beatles' Let It Be recording sessions, illustrated with hundreds of previously unpublished images, including photos by Ethan A. Russell and Linda McCartney," read the release announcing the news.

The book will also contain a foreword by Jackson and an introduction by British playwright, Hanif Kureishi. It will be published on August 31, 2021.

"The Beatles: Get Back" will be a special and essential companion to Jackson's feature documentary film of the same name, which is set for theatrical release on August 27, 2021.
